Privacy policy

What Cue captures, what it keeps, and what it never does with your meetings.

This is draft policy language for Cue, shared for transparency while the product is in early access. It has not yet been reviewed by legal counsel, and it may change before general availability.

What we capture

When you run a session, Cue processes two audio streams you name up front: your voice, so it can follow your place in the script, and the shared audio of the meeting, so it can summarize what the other side says. Capture never starts silently — you confirm it first, and a persistent Live indicator stays visible the whole time audio is being processed.

What we keep

By default, Cue transcribes audio in flight and discards the frames — nothing is recorded. A room can opt in to retaining recordings or transcripts, in which case they are stored for a short, configurable window and can be deleted in one click. We treat the other side's data conservatively: short retention, summarized text only, and never used to train models.

Your canvas and account

Your script, canvas markup, and distilled cards live with your room so you and your partner can return to them. Host accounts are managed through magic-link or Google sign-in; guests join by link with a display name and no account. You can export a session and delete a room at any time, which removes its associated data.

Cookies and analytics

We measure how Cue is used so we can make it better — which pages people reach, whether a session started, whether the follow held. That measurement runs through PostHog and Google Analytics, and it is strictly about using the product: no audio, no transcript, no card text, and no meeting content of any kind is ever sent to either. Event data is limited to a fixed, reviewed list of actions and counts.

Nothing is stored on your device and nothing is measured until you choose. On your first visit we ask; if you decline, we set no analytics cookies and count you only as an anonymous, privacy-preserving tally. Session replay — a recording of the pages you interact with — runs only on our public pages and the sign-in flow, and is switched off entirely inside a room, a dashboard or a session history, so the contents of a meeting are never recorded.

This is separate from consenting to be recorded in a meeting, which is covered by the consent notice. Declining cookies never affects audio capture, and agreeing to be recorded never enables analytics.
